Before Laminate Installation
Being prepared for your laminate installation can make for a more seamless process.
Before your laminate installation:
- You will discuss goals and an installation plan with your crew. On the day of your installation, a walk-through will be completed, and you will be able to ask any questions that you might have.
- You should ensure that children and pets are not near where the installation will occur.
- Discuss subflooring and any preparation work that might need to be completed with your crew.
- Laminate may need to be acclimated to the temperature of the room.
During & After Your Laminate Installation
On your laminate installation day, you can expect the following:
- Our crew will arrive on time and will complete a walk-through with you. They will discuss overall goals, a timetable for completion, and whatever else comes to mind.
- From there, the installation will begin. The process may vary depending on the size of the job and the installation method discussed.
- The crew will begin to lay the laminate planks. They could be connected using an interlocking system, "a floating floor," or by way of adhesive. Discuss which installation method your crew will go with beforehand.
- Your installation team will provide the finishing touches.
- Once finished, you will assess the work with our team.
After installation:
- Run a fan to remove installation-related smells.
- Allow 24 hours for your flooring to settle.
